About the Author

Andreas Meier ist Professor f�r Wirtschaftsinformatik an der Universit�t Fribourg, Schweiz. Seine Schwerpunkte sind Electronic Business, Daten- und Informationsmanagement. Nach Musikstudien in Wien diplomierte er in Mathematik an der ETH in Z�rich, doktorierte und habilitierte am Institut f�r Informatik. Er war Systemingenieur bei der IBM Schweiz, Direktor bei der Gro�bank UBS und Gesch�ftsleitungsmitglied bei der CSS Versicherung.

Michael Kaufmann ist seit 2014 an der Hochschule Luzern als Dozent f�r Datenbanken t�tig. Er konzentriert sich auf Datenbanken und Datenmanagement. In der Forschung erkundet er die Anwendung von Datenbanken f�r den prototypischen Bau von innovativen Informationssystemen, insbesondere f�r die Wissenstechnologie als antizyklischer Ansatz f�r die Bew�ltigung von Big Data.
