About the Author: Keith Beven is Professor of Hydrology and Fluid Dynamics at Lancaster University. He has published over 300 scientific papers many of which apply uncertainty estimation techniques to different environmental problems in the areas of surface and groundwater hydrology, hydraulics, ecology, water quality, pollutant transport in different environments, and flood risk assessment and forecasting. He is also the author of Rainfall-Runoff Modelling: The Primer and six other edited volumes.
