Cover photograph by Dennis Rolfe. ***Very good in colour-illustrated card covers. The covers have some light wear commensurate with age and handling. There is some creasing to the top corner of the front cover. No serious creases, tears or bumps. There are no reading creases to the spine, but there is some light rubbing to the edges of the spine. No reading lean to the binding. Spine tight. Internally also very good, with an owner's name and date to the top of the inside front cover. Paper stock lightly tanned. Pages clean. ***152 pages plus eight pages of publisher's adverts at the back of the book. 180 mm x 110 mm. ***'Penguin Modern Poets is an attempt to introduce contemporary poetry to the general reader by publishing representative work by each of three modern poets in a single volume.
