Add to basketUltra rare autobiography of the famous Australian engineer and designer who worked most notably for VINCENT motorcycles and designed their advanced and very powerful V Twin engines, he also had input into the Repco F1 V8 engine which won two Grand Prix world championships in the 1960s, an even tractors. He raced motorcycles in the 1920s and 1930s in Australian and elsewhere was involved in Speedway, Isle of Man TT, Brooklands, land speed rcord breaking, Cooper racing cars, etc. With the rebirth of Australian motor sport after the war, the creation of Bathurst and Philip Island circuits , Doald Campbell's Bluebird car, Leylands F5000 V8 racing engine, Cocebntry Cl,imax racing engines and thats before we get to the books how wrote, TUNING FOR SPEED remains a highly prized technical guide even today, lmost three quarters of a century after it's first appearance in print. An amazing many of so many talents. 500+ pages, hefty book weighting over 1.5 kgs so postage reflects this . For some reason this book seems to have been issued in very small numbers ad this is the first I have even seen in my 39 years of selling motor sport related books full time! Very good condition book and jacket. , a little discoloring/fading along the very edges of the jacket and the top back edge ha a little shelf wear I(minor stuff).
