The present essay assumes that not the word »neoconservatism«, but what it objectively designates will still determine the political-intellectual scene of Western societies when the day-political circumstances under which it started its present career have long since disappeared in the archives of contemporary history. Therefore, he first traces how the neoconservative social science intelligence in the USA and the Federal Republic has "occupied" the central political discourses.
