About Melancholy Books
Melancholy Books is a bookseller based in Edinburgh and named after Robert Burtons 'The Anatomy of Melancholy', a book on the causes and treatment of depression which also attempted 'to explain all human thought and emotion'. While we specialise in rare scientific and medical texts, like our namesake we are interested in a broad range of topics and we attempt to reflect this in our stock. We love finding books with an interesting history and medical or scientific link we think may be of interest to readers. Read our blog for more details about the books and if you would like to be featured in the section of the site about book collectors and their collections then please get in touch, we'd love to hear from you. This can all be found at melancholybooks.com
