Print on Demand. This book explores the deep connections between the early Christian Church and its Jewish origins. The author delves into the belief systems and practices of both faiths, highlighting the profound ways in which the rituals and organization of the early Christian Church emerged from the Jewish tradition. Through a meticulous analysis of ancient texts and historical records, the author demonstrates that the structure of the Christian liturgy, including the Eucharist and baptism, developed from Jewish practices. Moreover, the book argues that the concept of the Church as a separate entity from the Jewish community was a fundamental shift influenced by tensions between the two groups. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…

Unfortunately, till recently, English liturgical writers have in the main belonged to one school Of thought in the Church, and have approached the subject with prepossessions and assumptions which have coloured the medium through which they have viewed the subject. On the other hand, the German liturgical scholars are in the main free from any bias of this kind, and exhibit more Of that independent, accurate, and comprehensive research, and of that power of discriminating justly between what is based upon trustworthy authority and what rests upon questionable tradition without.
