A second Yellow Storybook featuring this lively little troll – with attitude as he experiences many familiar childhood situations.
It’s Little Troll’s birthday and he can’t wait to open his presents. He wants to get up far too early, then he decides to have a closer look at the wonderfully wrapped presents. One of the presents seems to have a big smily face beckoning him to open it up… which he tries, but with diastrous consequences. In the second story, Little Troll gets chicken pox and he can’t understand why his friends don’t want to come and cheer him up!
Alan Durant ‘s stories and Julek Heller’s illustrations of this lively, independent little character are a winning combination in this new title for beginner readers.
Alan Durant has written several picture books for Collins, Puffin and Walker. As well as writing for children, he works for Walker Books as a copywriter. He lives in Surrey with his wife, and their three children., whom he gets many stories from!
