From the Back Cover
The book opens by identifying some current patterns and trends that are of key concern to those engaged in international business, whether from a corporate or national perspective.
Part I then focuses on issues which affect most types of international business, whatever their sector of activity, nature of operations, or the stage reached in the internationalisation process. The principles, practices and institutions underpinning international trading relationships are reviewed, as is a wide variety of external environmental factors - political, legal, socio-cultural, ethical, ecological, economic and technological - which play a key role in determining both the direction and outcome of international business activity.
More 'firm-specific' aspects are investigated in Part II, with an in-depth analysis of the alternative courses of action facing the international business, whether in terms of corporate strategy, HRM, marketing, accounting and finance, operations management or logistics.
Key features-
* The book's structure and coverage make it particularly suitable for single-semester courses.
* Up-to-date, international case material throughout the book helps illustrate many of the issues involved.
* Case study questions help test student understanding, with outline answers at the end of the book acting as a self-check device.
* 'Pause for thought' examples throughout the book reinforce the taught concepts and are accompanied by outline responses at the end of the book.
* Each chapter concludes with a review of further reading and information, including a series of useful websites.
* A companion website to the book contains interactive questions and solutions for each chapter, plus further case study material and articles on topics covered in the chapters.
This book is suitable for students taking modules in International Business at HND, undergraduate and postgraduate level.

In 2002, World of Books Group was founded on an ethos to do good, protect the planet and support charities by enabling more goods to be reused. Since then, we've grown into to a global company pioneering the circular economy. Today, we drive the circular economy through three re-commerce brands: - Wob: Through Wob, we sell. We provide affordable, preloved books and media to customers all over the world. A book leaves our collection of over seven million titles and begins a new chapter every two seconds, enabling more goods to be reused. - Ziffit: Through Ziffit, we buy. We give people around the world the opportunity to contribute to the circular economy, earn money and protect the planet, by trading their unwanted books and media. - Shopiago: Through Shopiago, we help others. By sharing the technology that has grown World of Books Group into the business it is today, we’re helping charities increase revenue and reduce waste through re-commerce.…
