Item description from seller

1957. Second Impression. 123 pages. No dust jacket. Red cloth over stiff cardboard; navy blue lettering to front and spine. Foreword by Lord Piercy. Anstey is notable for cautioning the Joint Chiefs of Staff against nuclear escalation. J F Kennedy did indeed take a conciliatory approach in the end. Pages have slight foxing, tanning and minor thumbing. Slight gutter cracking. Binding is firm. Foxing and tanning more noticeable towards start and end of book and on text block edges. Slightly stained pastedowns. Several stamps of an A J Wilkinson. Boards have some moderate edge wear, with slight bumping to corners and minor bumping to spine ends. Boards a little rubbed and marked overall. Spine is noticeably sunned. Strips of sunning front and rear. Boards are notably bowed. Faint name stamp to front.
