Many countries of the world today rely on a vibrant SMEs sector. From global perspectives SMEs sector is viewed as the fulcrum for the general development of the economy leading the countries to meet some of their objectives of unemployment reduction, poverty reduction, economic growth and development. The SMEs are regarded as the veritable vehicles. The study was prompted by failures of SMEs. In this study five hundred respondents were used as research subjects from SMEs in manufacturing, service provision, retailing and wholesaling. The study adopted mixed method approach rooted in the pragmatism paradigm.
