About this Item
Issued in the Cambridge Manuals of Science and Literature series but unlike the usual series black and red cloth binding this is smooth brown leather with gilt pub. logo bottom fr. outer corner and gilt sp. lettering, this is clearly as issued and not a rebinding, there are a few very faint light marks of little consequence and patches of surface sheen loss but clean and unworn. x + 160 + (4, series list); 1913 gift inscription top fr. end-paper and faint tanning hints to end-papers in a few places, otherwise clean, tight and unmarked with brown silk place-marker. Dark green printed jacket unclipped, but a number of flaws, several substantial tears now internally closed with archival tear repair tape, sp. ends chipped and darkish water-stain to top half of spine and adjacent fr. region, price label ghost bottom fr. wraparound, were this post-1920s would rate Fair-Good but given age and scarcity of jackets for this series G+ seems justified, will add protective sleeve when ordered. This 'de luxe' (presumably) binding very scarce apparently. 1st ed. - 1910. 12 cm x 17 cm. Seller Inventory # 013461
