Item description from seller

Later printing; some staining; good in dust jacket. An exceptional association, inscribed by the author 'To Nunnally Johnson. Ôco-chairman' Ben Hecht.' Hecht and Johnson accounted for much of the best scripting in Hollywood, co-writing one episode in 'O. Henry's Full House,' and Johnson was married at the home of Hecht's great friend and collaborator Charles MacArthur, and his wife Helen Hayes. Hecht passionately attacked anti-Semitism, and his vocal, steadfast support for Israel's independence from Great Britain came at great personal cost, leading to his boycott by that nation. All books described as first editions are first printings unless otherwise noted. All books described as first editions are first printings unless otherwise noted.
