About the Author: Teri Williams is president of OneUnitedBank and mother of two children. She has served as treasurer of Dimock Community Health Center in Roxbury, Massachusetts for over five years. She has received numerous awards for her contributions to urban communities from groups such as the Urban League, the NAACP, and the National Black MBA Association. She is a graduate of Brown University and the Harvard Graduate School of Business.
