Sergeant was a distinguished attorney, serving on the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and as a Commissioner of Bankrupts. He also had a long and successful career in politics, serving in both the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and the United States Congress. The book concludes by reflecting on the legacy of Sergeant as a man of integrity, ability, and unwavering dedication to the public good.
