Paperback. In The Difference Maker, author Bjorn Thorvaldson draws on decades of real-world experience to offer readers simple frameworks for decision-making, communication, leadership, and navigating uncertainty. The Difference Maker is an influential work on developing and sustaining leadership and relationship skills, with grounded tools to help readers confidently move from being overwhelmed to finding clarity, building trust, and leading with purpose in life's important areas. The Difference Maker is not only a book about leadership, nor is it only a book about personal development. Thorvaldson instead has created a field-tested framework that acts as a bridge between thinking, acting, and contributing, a bridge that will define and inspire readers to consistently turn awareness into action and create meaningful impact across work, relationships, and life. With The Difference Maker, Thorvaldson delivers time-tested arguments for a new mindset of leadership, of doing the right thing, inspired by conversations with grandparents while growing up and developed over years of client work and presentations. Thorvaldson suggests that leaders need to aspire to more of a difference maker mindset, to aim to "think clearly under pressure and give people reasons to respect them." This mindset will encourage readers to make maximum impact at work and in life, following foundational principles of well-being and opportunity.
