12mo. in eights. 3.75 x 5.25 inches. xxvii + unpaginated [260 pp.]. Text in double columns. Bound in original tree calf with gilt borders; spine in compartments, decorated gilt with contrasting maroon morocco title label, gilt. Marbled endpapers. A little wear to extremities and traces of foxing; otherwise a very good copy. Illustrated by engraved portrait bust frontispiece. A pocket dictionary of English, claiming to be derived from Dr. Johnson's original dictionary, with various additions. We have not been able to trace any earlier additions of this particular version of the title, although there are several later ones published by Peacock; nevertheless an attractive little book.
