Review
"There have been two Scottish works that deserve distinction. One is David King's 'Complete Works of Robert and James Adam' which should be on everyone's shelf."
John Harris, former curator of the RIBA drawings collection
"The author has produced one of those books which is erudite without being pretentious, well informed without being boring; in fact the sort of book that any lover of eighteenth century architecture would relish on his desert island."
Dan Cruickshank, Architects Journal
"King and his publishers have done a grand job...this is a most useful and handsome volume and should be owned by all those interested in the architecture of the second half of the eighteenth century."
James Stevens Curl, Literary Review
