Original full brown kid leather, with red label (Blunt's Coasting Pilot) and gold trim on spine, all in Very Good condition. Moderate general wear on text pages. All maps intact. Minor foxing on 13 maps, 3 of which are folded. Writings on front free page (on Brig Elisa Ann ), and 3 rear blank pages (Receipt to expel wind), (a good book for children), (Schooner Columbia dimensions and arrived in Plymouth England Sept. 29 1805). Customer writes the cost of this book was $3.50 on March 12th 1812. Size: 8vo 7.75 - 9.75'' tall. With directions for sailing, describing the soundings, bearings of the Light-houses and Beacons from the Rocks, Shoals, Ledges, etc. Together with the courses and distances from Cape Cod and Cape Ann to Georges' Bank, with the Latitudes and Longitudes of the principal Harbours on the coast.
