pp.viii,310,10 (index), Frontispiece foxed, and some pale stamps on verso of plates, etc. Complete with all plates, and North Island map showing details of Northland. Second edition published in the same year as the first. Original green cloth, neatly re-cased, some minor discolouration. The first substantial account of the missions an Northland by a missionary who spent some 7 years in the Bay of Islands.
