This is a sequel to Bob Craven's rst book "Tiptoe through the Snowdrops", published in 2004. Forced to retire in 1993 after a career investigating major crime, he shares his and his wife, Dorothy's experience dealing with and managing the horrors of Post- Traumatic Stress Disorder coupled with chronic asthma and heart disease for over 30 years. In doing so he aims to help others live a normal life even though battered by mental and physical illnesses. Humour, laughter, engaging with others creating calm, being positive and always looking to the future has been the essence of their success. He re ects on his life before as a teenager and during his police service and after forced retirement working with charities and others in need. Now disabled mentally and physically he reports on his treatment and of those who are victims of similar situations. He wants to save lives by telling his story being open about his dark suicidal thoughts and the techniques and skills he uses to thwart such actions.
