Forty years ago, Jo Ann E. Miner crafted a heartfelt manuscript capturing the profound struggle of her sister, Barbie, against the harrowing grip of schizophrenia. Tragically, Jo Ann passed away before she could see her words published. The manuscript, typed on a vintage 1970s typewriter, was thought lost until it was discovered decades later, tucked away in a musty box in the garage.
