About the Author

Anu Anand is a journalist with BBC World Service Radio. Born in India and raised in America's deep south, she grew up watching Hindi films and listening to Indian music. Hindi is her mother tongue, but she still found it difficult to teach the language to her two children, so she created the Meri Duniya (My World) series to help other parents facing similar challenges in a world dominated by English-language material. Meri Duniya hopes to give conscientious parents beautiful books with original, hand-made illustrations to share with their children to help reinforce language as early on as possible. Anu is married, has two children and lives in New Delhi and London.
