Synopsis
The C programming language has matured over two decades and is now part of the standard training of professional programmers. C compilers are integrated into operating systems such as Unix and Linux, even for Windows C is the main programming language, and even for the JNI (Java Native Interface) of the Java programming language it is indispensable.
This basic course introduces gradually to C programming using simple examples. In addition to the language basics, topics such as enumerations, recursive programming, process communication, multithreading and the integration of assembly code are taught. Since the examples are largely independent of the operating system, programming with C for DOS/Windows can be learned as well as for Unix/Linux. The structured construction allows even beginners to develop their own programs in a short time.
