Synopsis
Moving Type, Designing for Time and Space, both a book and a cdrom, presents the fundamentals of typographic design for the screen. Serving as both a design resource and educational reference, commercial and artistic applications of typography in time-based media are used to illustrate how the elements of space, time, and motion affect the traditional, print-based, understanding of typographic form and communication.
The fundamentals of moving type, built upon the principles which underlie good typography, are explained and demonstrated.
