Synopsis
A la fin du XIXème siècle, au Japon, le jeune Yuko s'adonne à l'art difficile du haïku. Afin de parfaire sa maîtrise, il décide de se rendre dans le sud du pays, auprès d'un mainte avec lequel il se lie d'emblée, sans qu'on sache lequel des deux apporte le plus à l'autre. Dans cette relation faite de respect, de silence et de signes, l'image obsédante d'une femme disparue dans les neiges réunira les deux hommes. Dans une langue concise et blanche, Maxence Fermine cisèle une histoire où la beauté et l'amour ont la fulgurance du haïku.
