Soft cover. Condition: Good. 2014 Miwk Publishing paperback edition. Light reading wear else very good condition. From the cover: Steve Hogarth was born in Kendal, Cumbria, on 14 May 1959, at Helme Chase convent and maternity hospital, the son of a marine engineer and a short-hand typist. While still very young his family moved to Doncaster, Yorkshire, where he grew up. He never had formal music tuition but was fascinated by the songs on the radio. The Beatles, The Kinks and The Who lit a fire in him, like so many others. He went on to college in Nottingham where he studied Electrical Engineering. After seeing Deep Purple at Sheffield City Hall, he decided engineering was not nearly enough fun and immediately began to teach himself the piano. Much later he played piano on The The's second album Infected after releasing three albums with 80's bands The Europeans and How We Live. He has been the lead singer and lyricist with Marillion since 1989, and they have recorded and released thirteen studio albums. There have also been an additional two or three solo and collaborative projects.
