Synopsis
Part of a series which tells the tribulations of a young fisherman, Papyrus, and the princess Theti-Cheri, daughter of the Pharaoh Merenptha, in a very precise reconstruction of old Egypt: the XIXth dynasty. Mischievous Papyrus saves the princess, becoming her friend and protector. They plan a journey to Abou-Simbel, the princess and Papyrus face two bands of plunderers, who are after the treasure of the temple of Ramses!

About the Author
Lucien De Gieter started off in the graphic novel world as writer for SPIROU Newspaper, in 1961. He launched his first series, entitled 'Pony,' and collaborated notably with Peyo in the inking of the 'Smurfs.' In 1974, the first drawings of 'Papyrus' were published in SPIROU. This Egyptian saga quickly became very popular among children.

A young peasant in ancient Egypt, Papyrus is a mischievous boy, crafty and courageous. Protected by a magic sword, he saves the princess Theti-Cheri, whose protector and confidant he becomes. He will be extremely busy protecting his friend from the plots woven by the priests of Amon or by cheating princes trying to make her disappear... On the way to Abou-Simbel, Theti-Cheri and Papyrus will have to face two bands of plunderers who want to seize a treasure that is guarded by the four colossi of the temple of Rameses.
