This is the companion book to an exhibition of the same name presented at the Regina Gouger Miller gallery (Carnegie Mellon U.). The exhibition presented comics and comic imagery in art of various media, especially those that addressed issues such as race, gender, sexual orientation, violence and war, loss of innocence, and religion. The exhibition concentrated on younger, less established artists of the last decade. Three essays by art curators and critics accompany color reproductions of some 100 of the exhibitions pieces.
