While there may be some way to go yet before the promises of regulationist industry studies are fully realized the process of social regulation in regulation theory, for example, amounts to much more than a set of governmentally instituted rules, this book provides some excellent pointers along the way. Moulaert and Swyngedouw's methodological chapter is particularly useful in this regard. The book's comparative perspective, asserts its message that institutions matter.
