George Berkeley (1685-1753) was an influential Irish philosopher, author of the Treatise Concerning the Principles of Human Knowledge (1710) and Three Dialogues between Hylas and Philonous (1713). Alexander Campbell Fraser (1819-1914) was a Scottish philosopher and Professor of Logic at New College, University of Edinburgh.
