It provides a context in terms of the Ashmolean's world-famous collection of antique and renaissance sculpture and the development of twentieth-century sculpture as a whole. It makes accessible for the first time many pieces by, among others, Epstein, Frink, Maillol, Moore, Underwood and Zadkine.
