This book is aimed specifically at microbiologists and concentrates on how computers can be used to solve microbiological problems. It covers computers in taxonomy and systematics, data analysis packages, computers in fermentation and computers in teaching micrbiology, amongst other topics. The contributors are all microbiologists with experience in computer applications. The book shows inexperienced computer users how computing techniques can be easily utilized in their work and also encourages computer-literate researchers to exploit the full potential of their equipment.
