Review

'Never disappointing, this is definitely a book to be read, re-read, dipped into and, what is more, used in the field.' - Escalate

Synopsis

Delamont's theme is that researchers should be motivated like pilgrims by lust of knowing. Just discovering things is not enough: the findings must be written up and eventually "sold" to an audience. Flecker's caravan also contained poets "who sing to find your hearts", and merchants, carrying trade goods as well as being driven by that "lust of knowing". This book is designed to encourage researchers to seek the truth, tell it eloquently, and find an audience to buy it. Most books emphasize the search for truth and neglect the reporting and marketing of the findings. This one demands that the investigator should be poet, pilgrim and merchant.
