About this title

Review

'Vail has provided an extremely valuable resource that will stand on the library shelves, with Dowden, as a keystone of Moore scholarship for decades to come.' The BARS Review '[These volumes] fill in many gaps in our knowledge of Moore as well as answer questions about him and those with whom he associated ... [They] are exemplary volumes, worthy of much use and a long life.' The Wordsworth Circle 'every library that holds Dowden should now add Vail.' The Times Literary Supplement 'Literary critics, historians, and biographers owe a great debt to responsible editors of collected editons ... the best editors, such as Jeffery Vail, are clever enough to find many new letters that increase our knowledge of an author's life and works.' Keats-Shelley Journal
