In Absolutely Beautiful Things, successful designer Anna Spiro shows you how to create an interior that's just right for you. To her, it's all about the mix, not the match, and, with her help, you'll find beauty in unexpected places. She'll give you the confidence to put together a layered and very individual home using elements you love, and make you see your old belongings in a new light.
As well as lavish photographs of rooms Anna has created, she shares many of her secrets from a life in decorating, gives practical details on how to work with pattern and colour, and provides a room-by-room guide to furniture choice. 'I always endeavour to create happy, interesting, layered and uplifting spaces. That means mixing everything: colour and pattern, old and new, square and round, quirky and conservative. It's the imperfections and surprises that make a space interesting'.

Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine. Jeff Fisher (illustrator). 1st Edition. Tremain, Rose. Wildtrack and other stories / images by Jeff Fisher. Framlingham: Full Circle Editions, 2010. First edition [not the limited edition], inscribed and signed by the author to title page. Hardback, near fine, in unclipped dustjacket with small smudge to front base corner. Illustrated boards replicating the dustjacket design. Binding strong and tight, book appears unread. Decorated endpapers. 79pp., colour illustrations throughout. Contents clean and bright. Rose Tremain's fiction often finds itself drawn into the 'wide skies and watery byways' of East Anglia. The short stories gathered in Wildtrack, selected from her collections published over three decades, convey the sense of isolation, darkness and secrecy the region fosters: a sense that has long fired Tremain's imagination. At first sight, these four stories might seem to have little in common apart from their East Anglian settings. But some of the protagonists also share a feeling of anxiety that there is something wrong or missing in their lives which they must confront. The title story, Wildtrack, and Peerless both tackle the question of how we find meaning in a secular life, while in A Shooting Season, the main character believes she has found a safe haven, free from intervention of any kind but then The Past makes an appearance.
