Synopsis
Decimals are an integral part of building a strong foundation in mathematics. The more familiar students are with decimals, the less scary they will seem. About the Author
Chandra K. Smith is an innovative and passionate educator who strives to cultivate the learning environment and school culture that is important in the education of today's youth. After teaching at the middle school level for 2 years, she became a small business owner and opened a tutoring center in San Mateo, CA. The center works privately with more than 30 students, covering subjects ranging from fourth-grade math to high school physics. This includes providing guidance for students who struggle to learn in the classroom in addition to developing enrichment programs for those who are not adequately challenged at school. The center also provides summer enrichment programs, which offers students a fun hands-on experience while keeping them engaged in the practical applications of various subjects.
