In this volume, Peter S. Perry describes what performance criticism is and shows its application to biblical studies and theology. He draws on the best thinkers and practitioners in this field as well as his own experience to show how performance criticism can open up the meaning of and appreciation for biblical texts. About the Author
Peter S. Perry is pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church in Glendale, Arizona and instructor of New Testament for Fuller Theological Seminary and The Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago. He is the author of The Rhetoric of Digressions: Revelation 7:1-17 and 10:1-11:13 and Ancient Communication (2009).
