About the Author

I am a board certified psychiatrist in private practice in Lakeland, Florida for the past 25 years now. I was diagnosed with unusually severe obstructive sleep apnea early this year (2011). Due to the tremendous improvement of my health, I decided to write this book to inform, educate, and warn the general public of the real dangers posed by sleep apnea. In this book, I tried to provide a unique perspective of what it is like to be a grateful patient while remaining an ordinary physician. I have been married for the past 30 years now to my wonderful and ever-loving wife. I have 2 grown-up children one of whom is a graduate in Criminology and the younger one currently going into her third year in medical school. I own and operate BRAIN CHEM CENTER LLC.
