About the Author
Ruth Sheppard read Ancient and Modern History at St John's College, Oxford and has an interest in all periods of history. Based at the Osprey editorial office, she works on a variety of titles, and this is the second she has written for Osprey, the first was Empires Collide: The French and Indian War 1754 63.
