Professor Phil Race is internationally known for his work with students on study-skills, and his work with tutors on teaching skills. Since publishing the original 500 Tips for Students with Blackwell in 1992, he has written over 30 books for students, lecturers, trainers or teachers, and has become an acclaimed expert in assessment design, gaining a great deal of additional experience which is now brought to bear on helping students in the present book.
