Synopsis

Unlike some other reproductions of classic texts (1) We have not used OCR(Optical Character Recognition), as this leads to bad quality books with introduced typos. (2) In books where there are images such as portraits, maps, sketches etc We have endeavoured to keep the quality of these images, so they represent accurately the original artefact. Although occasionally there may be certain imperfections with these old texts, we feel they deserve to be made available for future generations to enjoy.

Review

Praise for Dante Gabriel Rossetti:

"A lush treat, a book of incomparable beauty." — Cosmopolitan

"Faxon...proves herself an astute guide to Rossetti's lush pictures with their often obscure symbolism or sources...This volume is indispensable to admirers of Rossetti's paintings or poetry." — Publishers Weekly

"This sumptuous volume celebrates the artist and poet who was one of Victorian England's most provocative figures...the lively text and numerous color reproductions of the work of Rossetti and his circle convey a sense of the artist's charisma and impact on his era...an attractive acquisition for most art collections." — Library Journal
