Paperback. Condition: Good. Foundations: Old Testament Bible Study Book is a 260-day reading plan that includes devotional content and a journaling method designed to enhance understanding, interaction, and application. After failed attempts at reading through the Bible in a year with previous discipleship groups, Robby Gallaty created a manageable way to do it. With a traditional reading plan of four to five chapters a day, unread chapters can begin to pile up, forcing you to skip entire sections to get back on schedule. Bible reading becomes a system of box-checking instead of a time to hear from God. The required reading also makes it difficult to sit and reflect on what you've read for that day. This resource simply requires you to read one or two chapters a day for five days each week. The two off-days are built in so you can take a break or get caught up if you missed a day. This helps you move at your own pace and get the most from your reading plan. In order to digest more of the Word, Foundations encourages believers to read less but to keep a HEAR journal. HEAR stands for Highlight, Explain, Apply, and Respond. This study method will help you retain more of what you read, understand the meaning, and apply God's wisdom in your life. Features: ● A 260-day Bible reading plan for reading through the Old Testament in just five days per week ● Supplementary devotional commentary content that supports every Scripture reading ● The HEAR journaling method Benefits: ● Expand your understanding of the Bible by reading the Word of God five days each week. ● Read through most of the Old Testament in one year with a plan that accommodates busy schedules. ● Experience personal spiritual growth as you walk through the Old Testament. ● Equip yourself with a greater knowledge and application of God's Word by digging deeper into Scripture by yourself or with a group. ● Learn to reflect on and apply the truth of Scripture, using the HEAR journaling method. ● Study Scripture by using a reading plan and devotions that make it easy to understand and apply God's Word, even if you're new to studying the Bible.
