About the Author

Robert Cunnew joined the library of the Chartered Insurance Institute in 1972 and has been Librarian since 1984. He has recently been involved in setting up the Web-based service CII Library Online. Alison Scammell managed the information services for both the Building Societies Association and Council of Mortgage Lenders between 1987 and 1994. After spending four years as an independent information management consultant and two years as Aslib's commissioning editor, she now works for an IT marketing and communications agency.
