Synopsis

Janice Tucker Rhoda's phenomenally successful series, The ABCs of Violin, owes much of its success to the wonderful original material and to the sensitive arrangements of classical, folk, fiddle and other popular melodies. This best selling instruction book along with the special CD insert is the perfect start for an Intermediate player of any age on the Violin. The many melodies plus short warm-up exercises and study pieces advance students technically in an easy and enjoyable way! Enjoy learning new bowing techniques, rhythms, key and time signatures. Flat key signatures are introduced in an easy, logical manner.

Play lovely melodies like Turkey in the Straw, Amazing Grace, Cherry Blossoms, Joy to the World, Beautiful Dreamer, Row Your Boat, Deck the Halls, Auld Lang Syne, Tchaikovsky's Piano Concert Theme, Haydn's Surprise Symphony, Beethoven's Russian Folk Song and Mozart's Minuet. 35 outstanding melodies, study pieces, warm-up exercises, scales, a note-reading worksheet and practice chart included along with graphs to show new left-hand finger placement.

The special CD insert consists of three components: 35 performance pieces of violin with piano accompaniments, piano accompaniment tracks by themselves for play-along, and a printable pdf file of the piano accompaniments. Concert and award winning violinist Yuki Beppu performs the pieces.
