Includes 60 testaments from not only Nazi Holocaust survivors, but also from Jews who were not interred, and from the liberators. Interviews with survivors tell what happened to them after their country was occupied by the Germans, their deportation and interment, their eventual liberations, and what they thought about their experiences.

This collection presents nearly 60 oral testimonies of holocaust survivors and liberators who witnessed the realities of Hitler's "final solution". Representing almost every country occupied by the Nazis during World War II, these powerful testimonies recreate the Holocaust from the early years in the ghettos to liberation. Augmenting the interviews are 20 pre-war, wartime and present-day photographs from the survivors' personal collections. A preface by sociology professor Dr.David Cooperman introduces the testimonies, and award-winning Holocaust author Dr.Deborah E. Lipstadt provides an interpretive historical chapter. The collection includes a teacher's guide offering classroom-tested role plays and discussion topics.
