Mastering Dysrhythmias: A Problem-Solving Guide is a workbook to help improve the reader's ability to interpret dysrhythmia. The book is divided into two parts. A systematic analysis of ECG's is presented in the first chapter of Section I. The next four chapters consists of a review of the characteristics and examples of specific dysrhythmias. Section II consists of five chapters containing a large variety of self-assesment tracings. Interpretations of these tracings are provided at the end of each chapter. The appendix includes a glossary to clarify any terms that may be unfamiliar and a list of abbreviations. Also, the workbook provides blank forms that the student can duplicate and use in the self-assessment exercises.

Our goal in writing this workbook is to improve the reader's ability to interpret dysrhythmia by providing ECG strips for practice along with answers that illustrate a standard process of analysis. Our first task was to justify adding another book to the already swollen shelves of dysrhythmia publications. Our belief is that Mastering Dysrhythmias incorporates a novel approach and fills a void in dysrhythmia instruction.
