Synopsis

This book, which is based on the experience of a single hospital team, encompasses major issues in nuclear cardiology with a clinical orientation. It lays particular emphasis on everyday clinical problems and situations which particularly address technical, physical or experimental advances. There are three parts: the first is a review of technical and procedural issues; in the second the major clinical conditions in which nuclear cardiology techniques have an application are reviewed, with a critical appraisal of their uses; and the third part provides an overview of the statistical and epidemiological fundamentals which are relevant for a proper understanding and evaluation of the results of nuclear studies. The book is addressed to all cardiologists and nuclear medicine specialists.
