Synopsis

As a boy, Patrick was captured by pirates and sent to Ireland to become a lonely shepherd. After many years, he escaped and returned to England and became a priest, then a bishop. Patrick asked to be sent back to Ireland to spread Christianity to the people there, traveling around the country for over 30 years.

Saints are real-life heroes of faith who inspire us by their virtues to become more like Christ. In the Saints and Me! series, these beautifully illustrated early-reader books tell the real stories of saints that come to life for children.
