Since Gottleib Daimler produced his Enspur in 19885 there have been over 100 years of development in motorcycle manufacture. This superb pictorial guide features the models that became classics, as well as those that litter the wayside of history. A margue-by-margue listing of models and manufacturers, from ancient Scott roadsters to Aprilla's 250cc Grand Prix Racer, describes the machines and how they have won their place in history. There are boxed highlights detailing the key elements of their design: engine specifications, power, weight and top speed. With its pacey and informative text, this is both an excellent introduction for the new motorcyclists, and a classic reference and source book for the more knowledgeable historians, collectors and motorcycle enthusiasts.
